My Story

Board games and tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) have played a significant role in transforming my life, offering a blend of social interaction, creativity, and personal growth that I hadn't anticipated. My journey into the world of TTRPGs began in 2017, and since then, I have been an enthusiastic participant in multiple campaigns. These games provided me with a unique outlet for storytelling and collaborative problem-solving, which not only sparked my imagination but also helped me build lasting friendships I had dabbled in board games before, but in 2020, they truly changed my life. During the pandemic, after moving to a new city for work, I struggled with isolation. A casual mention of "deck-building games" to a coworker, who happened to be an avid board gamer, led to the start of a weekly game group. What began as a small gathering has grown into a close-knit community of about 20 friends who meet regularly. Board games and TTRPGs have been more than just hobbies for me; they have been a source of connection, joy, and personal growth. The community I've found has not only helped me navigate the challenges of moving to a new city and the isolation of a pandemic, but it has also become a cornerstone of my social life, bringing me closer to others and enhancing my overall quality of life.
