MindBody Psychiatry does not participate with insurance.

The advantage is that we have time to take care of you and give you the attention you need and deserve. You will have individualized care that includes support outside of your appointments, from navigating insurance, pharmacies, scheduling and refills, to timely responses to medical questions and concerns. At MindBody Psychiatry, we are here every step of the way.

Out of network reimbursement is sometimes available through insurance and we can help you to navigate it.

Out of network reimbursement

Some insurance plans reimburse the patient for "out-of-network mental health benefits". Contact your insurance company to inquire about reimbursement for your out-of-network mental health care. Our office will provide you with an invoice for your insurance company

Our team provides psychiatric care to patients, ages 18-64.

What is a psychiatrist?

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental illnesses, including substance use disorders. Psychiatrists are qualified to assess both the mental and physical aspects of emotional problems. A psychiatrist has completed medical school (is an M.D. or D.O.) and an additional four or more years of residency training in psychiatry. After graduation from medical school, doctors typically spend much of the first year of residency training in a hospital taking care of patients with a wide range of medical illnesses. The psychiatrist-in-training then spends at least three additional years in training learning the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses, gaining valuable skills in various forms of psychotherapy and in the use of psychiatric medicines and other treatments. After training is completed, most psychiatrists take a voluntary written exam given by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology to become a “board certified” psychiatrist. Becoming “board certified” indicates that the psychiatrist has met the highest standard available to provide clinical care.

Treatment Cost

About the visits: During your first 60 minute appointment, a thorough history will be compiled, and assessed. In some cases, you will have a second intake appointment lasting for 60 minutes, in which you will receive a carefully tailored series of planning recommendations. This second appointment allows sufficient time for questions and answers. Follow up appointments lasting for 30 minutes will allow for reformulations, titrations, additional recommendations, 'switching gears', or questions. Medication refills will be conducted during appointments. Non-urgent questions can be relayed through a secure, HIPAA compliant emails. Cost: Diagnostic Evaluation (first visit): 60 minutes - $600 Follow up visits (Medication management): 30 min - $300 One Time consultations: 80 minutes - $750
